THE DETAILS
Handed Down™ is the Blossombless.co Christmas sweatshirt for the ornament that always went on the tree first. It's a vintage onion-shaped glass ornament, illustrated in a soft gouache style: a mint top with burgundy dots and a scalloped edge, a band of navy and blush harlequin diamonds with tiny gold stars and sprigs, a tomato-red base and a pale mint drop at the bottom, all hung from a burgundy velvet ribbon. Folk-art detail in quiet colors, and a grown-up way to wear Christmas.
THE BUILD
- • Comfort Colors® 1566 crewneck: 9.5 oz/yd² (322 g/m²), 80% ring-spun cotton, 20% polyester, 30 singles, with a 100% ring-spun cotton face.
- • Three-end fleece, garment-dyed for a lived-in feel with minimal shrinkage. OEKO-TEX® certified.
- • Rolled-forward shoulders, side seams, and 1x1 rib at the collar, cuffs, and waistband, so it layers cleanly.
- • Printed DTG directly into the fabric, so it stays soft to the touch with no heavy patch on the chest.
- • Twill tape inside the back neck, with BLOSSOMBLESS.CO printed at the back neck.
- • Garment dyeing gives every piece a slightly different shade.
GOOD TO KNOW
Does it shrink?
Garment dyeing pre-washes the fabric, so expect minimal shrinkage. Wash cold, then tumble dry low or hang dry.
I wash everything constantly. Will the print hold up?
The ink is printed into the fabric surface, which holds up far better than a heavy transfer. Wash it inside-out on cold to keep the colors bright longest.
Which color shows the design best?
On Butter, White and Light Green every band of the pattern shows. On True Navy and Pepper the blush and mint carry the ornament while the navy diamonds sink softly into the fabric. On Crimson the red base melts into the shirt and the diamond band takes the lead.
Is it a good gift for my mom or grandmother?
It was made for exactly that. It's a painterly take on the glass ornaments so many of us grew up hanging, the ones that came out of the same box every December. Get one for her and one for you.
How does it fit?
Relaxed fit, with room through the body and a little drop at the shoulder. If you're between sizes or want it roomier, size up one.
