Why I Made The Hearth Edit™

Journal · From the Founder

The Hearth Edit™ started with one simple wish: that everyone gets a good holiday, with the people they love. This is the story behind the collection, and the one piece I keep coming back to.

Where it started

I made this collection thinking about my wife and my friends. Every one of them carries part of the holiday season for someone else. They plan it, they show up for it, they keep it running, and very few of them stop long enough to enjoy it.

The holidays belong to everyone. That is the whole idea behind The Hearth Edit™. I wanted pieces you would wear to the table, not to a costume party, and that you would still reach for after the decorations come down.

Who it's for

Most designs in the edit belong to someone specific. For the nurses on shift while the rest of us sleep: Holiday Handoff™, Charted With Love™ and Keeping Watch™. For the teachers waiting on the last bell: Class Dismissed™, Last Bell Before Break™ and Between Chapters™. For the moms who keep the whole season together: Wrapped & Running™, Star of the Season™ and Holiday Muse™.

The rest are for anyone who wants their Christmas a little quieter.

Why every piece is on the Comfort Colors® 1566

I put the whole edit on one sweatshirt on purpose. The Comfort Colors® 1566 is garment-dyed, so it feels soft and lived-in from the first wear and gets softer with every wash. It is 9.5 oz fleece with a 100% ring-spun cotton face, and the garment dyeing pre-washes the fabric, so shrinkage stays minimal. A sweatshirt like that gets worn well past New Year's, and that is exactly the point.

The one I keep coming back to

If I could keep only one piece, it would be Pink Pine™. It is a single blush-pink pine with a soft, painted texture and a small red star. No slogan, nothing to explain. To me it has soul, and it is pure and simple at the same time. It says Christmas quietly, and it carries straight into January.

My wish for this season

Whoever you are, and whatever this season asks of you, I hope you get a few slow hours with the people you love. Happy holidays.

Good to know

What is The Hearth Edit™?

The Hearth Edit™ is the Blossombless.co holiday collection: garment-dyed sweatshirts for the season you spend close to home, with designs for nurses, teachers, moms and anyone who likes a quieter Christmas.

What sweatshirt is The Hearth Edit™ printed on?

Every piece is printed on the Comfort Colors® 1566, a 9.5 oz garment-dyed crewneck with a 100% ring-spun cotton face. It feels soft and lived-in from the first wear.

Will it shrink or fade after washing?

Garment dyeing pre-washes the fabric, so expect minimal shrinkage. Wash cold and inside out, then tumble dry low or hang dry. Our Care Guide has the full routine.

Can I wear it after Christmas?

Yes. Several designs, like Pink Pine™, carry no text and read more winter than holiday, so they wear easily into January.

I'm buying a gift and don't know their size. What should I do?

We don't take exchanges for size, so if you're unsure, the Blossombless.co™ Gift Card lets them choose their own piece.

What if it arrives damaged or misprinted?

Our Keep & Replace™ Protocol covers damaged, defective or misprinted pieces and missing items for 21 days from delivery. Email photos and the order number, keep the original, and we send a replacement at no cost.
